After you have chosen a topic, the first thing you should do is make a calendar. One of the most common problems students have writing their essay is time management. Although your teacher has probably broken the extended essay into smaller sections, it is important to set your own personal mini-deadlines.
The Importance of Time Management
Force yourself to stick to your schedule. Never turn in BS for the deadlines set up by your teacher. It will take a lot of will-power to go back and change a section after you have already turned it in. If you continually turn in slipshod work, you will find yourself with a slipshod essay the day before it's due.
Tips for Making Your Schedule
If you already participate in a lot of activities, you must make time for your extended essay. If you don't make time, you won't have time.
There are several ways to create a schedule:
1. Put aside one day of the week where extended essay will be your number one priority.
2. Don't plan specific days, rather, write down goals for each week and don't let Sunday (or another day of your choice) pass without
completing your goals.
